Experience:

Instructor – Achieve 英会話 English School
January 2009 – December 2009 (1 year)
Teacher: I was a teacher of 13 different 1 hour courses involving anywhere between 1 and 6 children at a time (ages 3-14).

Planning: I worked closely with the president to create the yearly curriculum for all the classes.
Quality Assurance – Electronic Arts Canada & Black Box
April 2007 – November 2007 (8 months)
Skate (Single Player)

  • Recognized as one of the top bug testers throughout testing.
  • Represented the team Point of Contact (POC) due to his temporary leave of absence.
  • Helped organize testing with the POC.
  • Created an Excel document which was soon in use by our entire testing team as well as being viewed by the production and development team.
  • Appointed as POC for a new module on the team which was later amalgamated into the Single Player team.
  • Consistently put in overtime shifts to assure milestone dates were met.

Need For Speed: Pro Street (Online)

  • Drafted from the “flex” team to the Online team of Pro Street and subsequently moved back to Black Box to be with the team.
  • Worked closely with the POC to help organize testing.
  • Consistently worked overtime to assure project completion.

Background:

Graduating from The Art Institute of Vancouver at the end of 2006, I soon got involved with Quality Assurance for Electronic Arts Canada. In November of 2007 I was let go at the end of the ramp down for the holidays which coincided well with me since I was going to Japan for a couple months in 2008. Over the year of 2008 I visited Japan twice, worked as a diamond driller and a landscape labourer and then moved to Japan for 1 year with a working holiday visa. In Japan I taught English as the sole instructor for an independent English school as well as part time at a different school. In the evening I taught English to adult students from many different fields of work and study.

I’m back in Canada now and I’m ready to settle down and find steady work in the Game Industry.

My skills span various fields since I enjoy many different hobbies and have explored many different fields but it has always came back to games. And that is why I am here – to introduce myself and show you who I am so we can have a better foothold to start our professional relationship with.

Art Institute of Vancouverの卒業の後で、私はElectronic Arts Canadaでゲームテスターになりました。2007年の11月、ゲームのシーズンが終わったので私の仕事も終わりました。そのおかげで、2009年の一月に日本に2ヶ月ほど行きました。2008年の間、私は日本へ2回に旅行をしました。それで、2008年12月、私はワーキングホリデービザで日本へ1年滞在しました。私は日本で、2つの英会話教室で英語教師をしました。そして、夕方には大人向けの英語のプライベートレッスンをしました。様々な方々に出会いました。

それから、私はゲーム業界で仕事を探しています。

私は好きなことが多いので、様々なスキルを持っています。けれども、終了時、いつもゲームの話になりました。それで、私はゲームかレベルデザイナーになりたいです。
